Dr.
Elena Lev Polukhin
is a Board certified specialist in Physical Medicine
and Rehabilitation.She conducted an original research
in rehabilitation of top level athletes, exercise
physiology and performance enhancement using innovative
rehabilitation techniques. She is an author of multiple
publications and presentations in Europe and United
States. Dr. Polukhin completed numerous visiting
professorships in many distinguished universities
worldwide.She actively participates in international
humanitarian missions helping disabled and poor
people all over the world (Israel, Honduras, Peru
and Russia). In 2005, Dr. Polukhin was appointed
by Governor Tim Pawlenty to the Minnesota State
Rehabilitation Council. In 2006, she received Bush
Medical Leadership fellowship.
Capt.
Alex Tolstov is Chief Executive Officer of the EEMS.
He is a Captain, Marine Engineer, recently retired
after 30 years of service in different port authority,
merchant fleet, harbors around the world (Northern
and Southern Europe, Middle East, Canada). Alex
is a am humanitarian, philanthropist, and political
leader. He has an excellent personal and professional
experience in the leadership positions as a Captain,
community leader, and a human being. During his
career he was involved in multiple humanitarian
projects in FSU and all over the world. He lived
and worked in Israel, Canada and from 1999 he lives
at the USA. Alex jokes that he is a “professional
immigrant” with solid international experience;
international life experience; he is fluent in several
foreign languages.
Anthony
Axelrod is a humanitarian, community leader and
one of the founders and great supporter of the EEMS..
Immigrated to the USA 25 years
ago from Estonia where he worked as a scientist
in the Oil Shale industry. These days Anthony
utilizes his engineering background and his Ph.D.
in Electrical Engineering at 3M Company as a Senior
Research Engineer to develop measurement systems
and advanced mathematical models for chemical
processes.
Anthony's involvement in non-profit activities
has rooted in his personal beliefs in helping
people to stay active and healthy for as long
as possible. He worked as an adults' conditioning
trainer at St. Paul JCC, coached a junior gymnastics
team and was Always ready to lend an advice and
an encouragement if asked.

Vaynberg was one of the EEMS founders.
David deceased in 2007 after prolonged
fatal disease, but he will always stay
in our hearts.

Elaine came to US from Belarus where she graduated
with MS degree in Mechanical Engineering.
She has worked as a mechanical design engineer
at the first computer manufacturing plant
in USSR In the United States Elaine became
a software professional and worked at UNISYS
Corp developing software for airlines. Then
she worked as a web developer for AdventureMatch,
Inc. At present time she is a real estate
agent and a medical interpreter.
She brings a combined experience of precise
science and medical service into the Eastern
European Medical Society
