In 2005 we organized the Eastern European
Medical Society (EEMS). It has been functioning
on personal funds of the President, Board
of Directors and contributions from fellow
members, supporters and pharmaceutical companies’
grants from Abbott, Boehringer Ingelheim,
Allergan, Inc. In May of 2005 EEMS received
the status of non-profit organization and
IRS tax exemption status.
The first examples of EEMS activity are monthly
educational articles in Russian paper ZERKALO,
community based educational lectures and published
educational booklets prepared in collaboration
with American Slavic Institute. This activity
of EEMS was well perceived by the community
and we intend to continue our work. |
